At 4 years old Zayne was diagnosed with autism.Gwen will share how they found strength through Zayne’s gifts instead of focusing on his weaknesses.Today, Zayne is a member of the band Blue Spectrum which has 2 other autistic members.He taught himself to play the guitar. Music has really transformed him from a painfully shy boy to an extremely confident musician.

Studies show that smartphone users are developing serious problems, like real addictions, and losing the ability to focus. Mobile technology isn’t going anywhere, so we must become aware of these effects so we can better use technology- instead of letting it use us.
Mike McDonough – Opportunities of Adversity
Often times people tend to shy away from adversity, but unfortunately adversity is something we all will face at one point or another in all aspects of our lives (work, family, social, health). Mike shares the adversities which ultimately led to an amputation of his leg. But instead of letting circumstances define him, he has used them as motivation to meet his challenges and drive through adversities.

The words we surround ourselves with are incredibly important. Motivation by Connotation is the idea that we could take words that traditionally have negative meanings and use them as a source of encouragement by redefining their meanings.

Jillian will discuss how passion for a dream can provide all the drive that you need in life. Not only is passion something that can encourage self-motivation, but it can inspire others to be more driven in their own lives. Jillian’s source of inspiration comes from the love of space exploration. She will talk about how how her dreams came to be, what she has done to achieve them, and how drive is something that she has thrived on for the 18 years that she has wanted to be an astronaut.
Amraha Nadeem – United We Stand
By accepting our differences, and working together, we can accomplish more than we ever imagined. We must break the chains of ignorance in society, and build bridges to understand each other. Although we may read different holy books, or call God by different names, inside each and every one of us is one heart that can love. Through love and understanding, we can enhance not only our own individual growth, but also humanity.
